Renovations can be nboth exciting and stressful at the same time – we know we hear it every day; daily decisions, from floorings to finishes, from lighting to tiles… the list is long. You’re looking forward to having extra space, but the stressful decisions and finance obligations can all feel daunting – you may even stall. We are here to give you confidence that our building managers at Tide Constructions are here to shield you from the most complicated construction decisions and ensure you enjoy the experience for what it should be. If you get overwhelmed by all the choices and decision making, we can support you and make your renovation choices easier.
We have a building and design team who work together from day one. Together, they narrow down choices and depending on your brief and budget, we give you advice on decisions in a systematic way. Tide Constructions are Certified Master Builder’s Queensland and we are on community groups and construction site boards in the neighbourhood.
We are the experts in building and renovations and you can ask every question you can think of. Ask for testimonials and photographs of our work and be confident we have exactly the same vision as you. Remember, cheapest isn’t always best, but we do accommodate budgets and try to achieve the best results within this.
While it is well known functionality is important in ensuring your house works with how you live, practicality should come before “pretty”. The best designs are those that optimise your space, budget and requirements. It’s usually best to prioritise function over aesthetics when renovating. Ask yourself if your choice would be practical on a daily basis and consider the key function or purpose, and whether you’re willing to compromise with a different design option.
Stick within your price range. It’s best to agree upon savings versus splurges at the very start of your project when you’re establishing your budget. This way extra expenses, if saved, can be allocated and help further down the track. Naturally, it is human to be distracted and tempted by other higher-end options. But we are here to support you in your endeavours and guide you along the way.
When you put things into fruition it really does become a real vision, just like writing a shopping list. Creating a mood board with images and samples is a great way to communicate to us your style preferences. We can identify your look and theme immediately and assist in turning your dream into reality. This is like an interior design board, so include things such as samples, flooring, tiles, wall colours, and heaps of pictures of lights, tapware, finishes and fixtures. This gives a clearer definition visualisation and it will help us all on the project.
